“By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen” Hebrews 11:3

Did anyone else wake up early enough today to see the predawn sky?

As I was leaving my house at 5:30am, I noticed a slender silver of waning crescent moon and right next to it, the brightest star I’ve ever seen.  Only it wasn’t a star, it was a planet. Venus. It was a breathtaking celestial picture. I was so taken back by the beauty and uniqueness of it, I forgot to take a picture, but have no fear, someone on the internet didn’t forget. As I was driving and admiring the silent drama in the sky, I couldn’t help but praise the Artist of such beauty.  I mean this splendor that He allows us to see, is it not evidence of His love and mercy to us all?

It’s by His wisdom every star and every planet were set into place, how can we still doubt Him in our affairs?

Perhaps your own life seems empty, dark and void. Perhaps there is no hope, no light in sight. And maybe you have nothing to hold onto, nothing to live for, and nothing to hope in. Perhaps it feels like all your dreams and prayers, like sand, have sifted through your fingers. Perhaps, you stand there broken hearted, empty handed, numb…

Look up at the sky my dear, count the stars my love. Before the stars and the heavens were created the earth was formless, empty, dark and void. There was nothing. There was no hope.

“By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen” Hebrews 11:3

Perhaps, before Creation, the earth resembled our lives before Jesus. Our condition before encountering His Grace.

It was out of nothing God created the heavens and clothed them in sunrises, sunsets, stars and planets. In the same way, the same God will take your life which seems empty, broken, dark and void and make something beautiful out of it.

Take the time to look into the heavens and admire the works of His wisdom, the majesty of His knowledge. Surrender your life to Him and Worship Him for He alone is Worthy.

What we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. Hebrews 11:3
